The Cheshire Cat By Innkeeper'S Collection - Luxury Hotel in Chester, Cheshire

The Cheshire Cat sits along the Shropshire Union Canal, offering a garden that opens directly onto a footpath for walking into Chester city centre. Free private parking is available for all guests, and the property provides CCTV coverage in common areas and external spaces. A designated smoking area and facilities for disabled guests are part of the hotel's accessible services, with key access and smoke alarms throughout.

Each room at The Cheshire Cat includes an en suite bathroom with a powerful shower, plus a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms are styled with traditional wooden furnishings and are named after pubs, with some located in a separate annexe for added quiet. A family room offers a sofa bed and a double bed, and all rooms come with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

The on-site Cheshire Cat restaurant and bar serves a seasonal menu that changes throughout the year, with specialties such as steak and Stilton pie and Sunday roasts. A roaring log fire in the dining area provides a warm setting, and cask ales are offered at the bar. Breakfast includes a full English option, and the kitchen can accommodate gluten-free diets with advance notice.

Families staying at The Cheshire Cat have access to a large, enclosed beer garden with outdoor furniture, where children can play while adults sit outside. Kids' meals are available on the restaurant menu, and the family room accommodates up to four guests with a sofa bed and a double bed. The hotel's location near Chester Zoo-a 10-minute drive away-makes it a practical choice for family outings, and the canal towpath offers a safe, scenic walk into town.

The hotel lies just outside Chester's walled city centre, a 5-minute drive from the historic centre, with a 45-minute walk along the canal towpath as an alternative.
